Cedar Pointe Story
Our story started years ago in a land a bit distant away. The Gulbransons were a family of loggers in British Columbia, harvesting timber, farming, building roads–and building character. Today, those same hard-earned traits are being put to good use in Southern Utah, specifically the St. George area, constructing comfortable, beautiful places where you can be…home at last. We love what we do—and it shows!
This Isn’t Just A Job—It’s Our Passion
We’re perfectionists–call us picky. We don’t mind. We employ the best architects, work within the guidelines of our various communities, and then take it to the next level by employing the best craftsmen in the trades to execute our plans. Long after you’ve moved in, we can still drive by and get a real sense of accomplishment. And, years from now, if you spot an older gentleman stopping his well-used pick-up, getting out and staring at your house and looking a little nostalgic, maybe pointing at some feature on your home, don’t worry. He’s grateful he had the chance to build something that has stood the test of time.
It’s his passion–always will be!

Bringing Out The Best In Everybody
Consider all the different craftsmen and women who put all their skills together to create a dwelling that you turn into a home: architects, civil engineers, masons, framers, plumbers, electricians, even the city’s building engineer, and inspector. Our task as the construction management firm is creating a masterpiece, a symphony that harmonizes and stays in tune with each other. We call it ACCOUNTABLE CONSTRUCTION. We don’t badger our sub-contractors or try to squeeze every penny out of them; we hire people who share our passion and hold them to very high standards. Just walk through one of our completed projects: Our mission is to have you say to yourself–maybe even out loud–“I’m home at last!”

More Of Our Story
When we think of the hardy folks who first came down to “Dixie” to settle in this sometimes unforgiving land, we tend to think of the 19th-century. But, other pioneers have come more recently, for example, the Gulbranson family who are shareholders in Cedar Pointe Homes. Historians tell us that the overland migration to Utah Territory via horse- or ox-drawn wagon, accompanied by herds of farm animals, ended with the completion of the transcontinental railroad in 1869 at Promontory Point, Utah. But, that’s not exactly accurate. In the early 1960’s, a family of Norwegian-Americans from Minnesota immigrated to Utah in pioneer fashion since they had no other affordable means of bringing their household and farm animals West and join with others of their faith. The family eventually pioneered in central British Columbia and began farming, doing construction work and logging. That was the Gulbranson family. And, they put that pioneering ethic of hard work and attention to detail in everything they do, and that is reflected in the workmanship in the homes they build at Cedar Pointe.
Come in and see for yourself!

Their commitment to hard work, quality construction, and innovative methods to find new solutions to sticky problems is the driving force behind the excellent craftsmanship and value that is evident in every Cedar Pointe home.
When you’re home, at last, it’s comforting to know that it is built on a strong tradition. At Cedar Pointe Homes, we’re still pioneering! And it shows.
